An exciting feature we offer is our Shamwari Houseboat which is based on the Upper Zambezi River near Mwande on the Namibian side. This section of river is famous for it's tiger fish, excellent Nembwe and predatory bream fishing. The Shamwari Houseboat is a permanently positioned floating lodge which offers guests the opportunity to fish the Zambezi River from Katima Mulilo to the confluence of the Zambezi and Chobe Rivers 120km downstream. The experience includes accommodation, meals, wifi, and more!

The Zambezi Region (formerly Caprivi Strip) is an excellent bird-watching destination and has over 450 species of birds recorded. It supports many birds not found elsewhere in Namibian and the surrounding African countries. Most of the Okavango specials can be seen here, including slaty egret, racket-tailed roller and wattled crane. Permanent water in the area makes it a popular stopover for many migrants from Eurasia and elsewhere in Africa, from November to April. A variety of waders is abundant throughout the year.
